The Government is keen to continue to encourage growth in the private rented sector.
The need for higher deposits and the lack of mortgage funding available to younger people is forcing them to wait until later in life to purchase a property - so they will rent. We do not see this situation changing for many years to come and it is quite likely that this ‘shift’ to rented property will be a permanent one.
